Meet Sarah Murley-Hauser: violin teacher, local business owner, emerging local leader, co-founder

Meet one of our co-founders, Sarah Murley-Hauser! She is the owner and director of Willowdale School of Music where she and her team of amazing teachers give violin, piano and singing lessons to kids and adults from age 4 and up.

She lives with her husband (Tom), dog (Loki) and cat (Valkyrie) near Yonge & Sheppard. When she isn't teaching violin or walking Loki, she's either fawning over her indoor jungle of 50+ houseplants or fawning over her condo balcony container vegetable garden, depending on the season! Her favourite balcony plant to grow is any kind of tomatoes, and inside she loves all her leafy, green children.

Sarah is passionate about food justice and urban farming, she is one of the co-founders of the Wellspring Worship Centre Food Garden, where the church grows vegetables and keeps bees to encourage food growing in urban environments. She also loves cooking, baking bread and eating really good food!

Sarah also serves as a Deacon at Wellspring Worship Centre, and on the Leadership Team for the Christian Reformed Campus Ministry 'Wine Before Breakfast' at UofT.
